Belle Musique T-Shirts
These were t-shirts I designed for Belle Musique, a music studio educating youth in Carroll County, Maryland. The goal was to re-brand the logo from the previous year's shirts. The client wanted me to incorporate a butterfly image, as well as an overall elegant feel to the branding of the graphic for the t-shirts. Here was my process.
Butterfly Sketches
I started by gathering reference of butterflies, and drew various types of butterflies with ink and calligraphy markers.
Typography Choices
I'm After creating the butterfly drawings, I combined them together with various elegant fonts to try and get a feel for which one best suited the branding. I submitted these various ideas to the clients, to which she had her students vote on them and choose their overall favorite.
Final Graphic
After a few tweaks and suggestions, this was the final result logo which was graphically screen-printed on t-shirts for the students of Belle Musique.
